Beautiful half plate ambrotype of an unidentified company grade officer, either a pre-war image or 90 day service image as he wears Ulster Guard buttons on his coat.

Major Walter A Van Rensselaer, 20th NYSM. Wounded in action July 3, 1863, at Gettysburg. He died from the effects of this wound in 1879 at Kingston, NY.

Col. Geo. Watson Pratt was mortally wounded on August 30, 1862 at the 2nd Battle of Bull Run.

Private Augustus Cole, Co. F, 20th NYSM. He was the last Civil War soldier from Ulster County, having died August 6, 1940 in Ulster Park, New York.
